I didn’t feel like it…
Today, I woke up not feeling like doing anything at all. Whether it was the gloomy weather, my current mood, or something entirely different was unclear. Every morning, I’m usually up at 4:40, but this morning, I just wanted the comfort of my bed.
I sat on the edge of the bed, contemplating the idea of skipping the day’s routine. I counted backward to five, rose from my bed, and slipped into my workout attire.
Upon reaching the gym, I realized my phone was dead, adding to my growing dissatisfaction. When you’re stuck in the same old routine on cold, monotonous days like these, you can’t help but question whether it’s worth the effort.
Today was one of those days for me. I had to remind myself why I was doing this in the first place. I remembered that at some point in my life, I consciously decided not to let my feelings interfere with my goals. I live a highly productive life, and the cornerstone of my productivity is my early mornings and the freedom that consistency brings.
By consistency, I don’t mean perfection. Rather, the ability to show up, irrespective of the situation. I know that every time you show up despite the odds, you become mentally stronger.
I know many of you are balancing demanding jobs, looking after loved ones, managing households or stressful situations, sometimes without any understanding or support. Yet, you persist, showing up day after day, doing what needs to be done. I applaud you!
A gentle reminder that your efforts are never wasted. You are setting a precedent and leading by example. You’re always one step ahead. So, continue to show up; try one more time. You are impacting lives and, more significantly, defining yourself.
I share these reflections as a reminder that you are not alone in this journey. Until next time, with love, Katursia.
Most mornings i don’t feel like it to.
I feel you, sis.
