Mother’s Day Gift Ideas for All Budget
In less than three weeks it will be Mother’s Day and finding the perfect gift can be overwhelming, especially if you’re on a tight budget. So, I decided to write a post to suggest some great gift ideas that will help a mom feel special.
No budget
The best gifts come from the heart and don’t have to cost a thing. Try the following if you are on a tight budget:
- Call your mom and do your best to be as present as possible. Take the time to listen and be grateful that you have her in your life
- Visit her. Spend some quality time and show some affection
- Offer to do some of her chores, such as washing the dishes
- Cook her favorite meal or bake her favorite dessert
- Offer to help with a project or task that she has been putting off
Gifts under $20
- Personalized photo Album: Gather some of your mom’s favorite photos and create a photo album with personalized messages and captions. This gift will not only make her feel special but also remind her of all the wonderful memories you’ve shared together
- Plants: If your mom loves nature, consider gifting her a potted plant. Choose a plant that is easy to maintain
- A box of her favorite tea or coffee
- A small piece of Jewlrey, like a pair of earrings or a bracelet
- A scented candle
Gifts under $50
- A beautiful bouquet of flowers: I usually purchase flowers from Trader Joe’s to do my own bouquet.
- Spa gift set with body scrub, lotion, and bath bombs
- A nice coffee mug with a heartfelt message
- A journal or planner for her to write down her thoughts and plans
- A personalized keychain or piece of Jewelry
Gifts Between $100 and up
- Kindle E-Reader: If your mom loves reading, consider gifting her a Kindle E-Reader. It’s a perfect gift for book lovers who enjoy reading on the go.
- Smart Speaker: She can listen to her favorite music, ask for weather updates, and control other smart devices in the house.
- A spa gift certificate: Treat your mom to a day of relaxation with a gift certificate to a local spa. Most spas offer a variety of services, from massages to facials, and your mom can choose which treatment she wants to indulge in.
- Kitchen Appliance: Consider gifting her a high-end kitchen appliance, such as a stand mixer or a high-performance blender.
- Apple AirPods: If your mom loves listening to music, podcasts, or audiobooks on the go, consider gifting her a pair of Apple AirPods. You can find them on Apple’s website or at a local electronics store.
Remember, it’s not about how much you spend, but the thought and effort you put into your gift. Show your mom how much you love and appreciate her with a thoughtful and meaningful gift that she will cherish forever.
Note: Losing a mother is a difficult and painful experience, especially during occasions like Mother’s Day. I have included some suggestions on what you can do to honor and remember your mother on this day:
- Visit her resting place: You can visit her burial site, place flowers, or any other item that reminds you of her. You can also sit there, reminisce, and talk to her.
- Write a letter: You can write a heartfelt letter to your mother, expressing how much you miss her and how much she meant to you. You can also include any memories or moments that you cherish.
- Volunteer: You can spend the day volunteering at a charity or organization that your mother cared about or supported.
- Do something your mom loved: If your mother had a favorite activity or pastime, you can honor her memory by doing something similar. For instance, if she enjoyed cooking, you can prepare her favorite meal.
- Talk to someone: You can reach out to friends or family members who have lost their mothers, they may have advice on how to cope or share their own experiences.
Happy Mother’s Day!
